Several conservancies have come up in Samburu supported by the Northern Rangelands Trust and this has secured more land for wildlife and the communities which has in turn seen the remarkable increase of wildlife and decrease in poaching incidents. Some conservancies have introduced rhinos which were wiped out almost four decades ago and this will boost the tourism product in the area.
