The 100-Year-Old House was originally built in 1912 in Hurlingham in Nairobi and was going to be demolished to make way for a skyscraper. In December 2018, the owners decided to rescue this house and move it piece by piece to Nanyuki, preserving a little of Kenya’s History and create a great new asset to One Stop. This house took many months to rebuild and is decorated beautifully with wonderful views of Mt Kenya and the Aberdare mountains. The house has three bedrooms, a kitchen, veranda and a sitting area with a fire place. There is a private garden that surrounds the house. One room is a double ensuite, the other two rooms share a bathroom and can be made up as singles or doubles if requested in advance. The house is equipped with a large fridge freezer, toaster, kettle, gas burner/oven, indoor and outdoor seating area. A cleaner can visit each day to do the washing up and clean the house if desired at no extra charge.
