Island Camp Resort is the oldest permanent island camp in Kenya. It is situated on the southern end of Ol Kokwe Island, in the middle of Lake Baringo. The lake is at Northern Kenya’s threshold and an oasis in the arid plains. It is located at the narrowest part of the Great Rift and is surrounded by the Tugen Hills volcanic range (El Gaylo) on the west and the Laikipia Escarpment. Road access to Baringo is directly from Nakuru by bus and private transport or by charter flight to the lakeside town of Kampi ya Samaki.
